		<description><![CDATA[I&#8217;ll bet a bunch of you Fitness Diggers are trying to lose a few (or more than a few) pounds, especially having just come through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year&#8217;s Day if you&#8217;re in the USA.  And, the Super Bowl is coming too &#8211; another opportunity to eat too much of the wrong kind of food. If you&#8217;re like most who are trying to lose weight, you&#8217;ve been &#8220;trying&#8221; for most of your adult life.  True? Why do we have such a difficult time with losing pounds?  Well, there are a number of factors in play, but one of the significant ones that&#8217;s often overlooked or intentionally hidden by the marketers of diet programs and weight loss paraphernalia is our desire for the quick fix.  I  think that&#8217;s resulted in more failed diets than perhaps any other factor. Unless your wedding is coming up, what&#8217;s the hurry?  Don&#8217;t you think it would make more sense to make small adjustments in the food you eat and the activities you do (or don&#8217;t do), and let the pounds come off over time?
