Smoothies and Vegetable Juice

A fun and easy way to get vitamins & minerals into your diet is by drinking freshly made fruit juices, vegetable juices, and by blending thick and frothy smoothies and shakes from frozen fruit. Drinking smoothies and shakes are a great way to activate enzymes into your diet. Finally, your body can absorb these vitamins and minerals much easier when they are in liquid form and have been chopped up into a fine slurry.

Vitamins

Freshly made juices are a tremendous source of bio-available vitamins and minerals that are essential for our diet and in being healthy and fit. Your body can do a lot of things but it cannot make vitamins and minerals. You can only get these through the food that you eat. Blending different vegetables and fruits can be a great way not only to get the vitamins that you need to but to do so in an interesting and tasty way. Vitamins:

  • Reduce your risk of getting a stroke or heart attack!
  • Strengthen your nails!
  • Improve your hair condition, strength and growth by providing certain essential nutrients to the hair follicle!

We all know that fiber is essential in keeping your body regular. Although fiber is very good for you we do not digest fiber fully so much of the vitamins and minerals that are trapped in the fiber are sent through the body without total absorption. Blending the fruits and vegetables releases the vital nutrients by breaking down the fibers.
