Fast Food Restaurants

July 27, 2009
By I Dig Fitness

The National Restaurant Association reports that the average American family buys four meals each week at a restaurant. They also estimate that 30 percent of all the children in the nation eat a meal at a fast food restaurant every day.

Hmmm. I wonder if this is in some way connected to the rampant obesity among children. It’s not easy to dig fitness when you’re frequenting the fat food restaurants. Look at what they serve:

  • flavored sugar water with a side of calories (sodas)
  • dipped potatoes with heavy doses of fat and salt (French fries)
  • sugary desserts
  • Enormous portions

We can do better.
