We’re about to celebrate independence Day here in the US. There will be family gatherings, barbeques, picnics, outings to the lake, etc. etc.
So, what are all you fitness diggers going to do? YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE FUN AND GET FIT – RIGHT? Enjoy the BBQ, but that’s not all you can do to have a pleasant holiday. Here’s a list to get you started:
- Play Frisbee with your kids or dog
- Play softball with the family at the park
- Play pitch and catch with your kid while your waiting for the BBQ to cook
- Go swimming
- Take a walk around the park
- Ride your bike
Or, if you’re a more seasoned fitness nut, get up and take that run, bike ride or swim early, before starting the picnic. The point is, you can work fitness activities into your holiday weekend and have fun doing it.
